Waterborne Illness Anyone?

Whoa! Has everyone seen those crazy flood pictures from IU this week?

In case not, take a look at this link:

Of course, being the health-conscious person (translation from Jody: hypochondriac) that I am all I could think when looking at these pictures is that those people who are diving into the Jordan River and slip-n-sliding in the Dunn Meadow mud are bound to pick up something nasty. Probably typhoid. Maybe dysentery. And, some kind of hepatitis for sure.

Despite the flash flood, Courtney is headed to IU this weekend for a pontoon trip. I'm guessing they'll just pontoon down Kirkwood and float on over to Kilroy's.

Just remember, Courtney, if you see a Kilroy's breadstick floating through the murky water, try to resist. But if you can't, I promise to come visit you in quarantine...wearing my hazmat suit, course.

* In an effort to give credit where credit is due (and, mostly, to see if Steve Carroll is reading this blog as he should be) I'd like to note that Steve is the one who sent this link to Jody.

Thanks for the health reminder about the dangers of swimming in flood water! Fortunately, despite lots of rain in Ann Arbor, UM is NOT flooded.

Nice hazmat suit.
